After NaNo,what do you do with your story?
by Chayla Author IconMail Icon
I have a very interesting story on NaNo called "Ride The Centuries." Yes, it does need a lot of refreshing but you're writing by the seat of your pants to claim that 50,000 word count. My question is, what do you do with the story after the NaNo contest is over? Once I edit a lot of it, I would like to post it here, if I could, to see what others think of my story.

It's about mankind still ruling the earth. A test is created that occurs every thousand years, to see if mankind still needs to be the dominate beings. A plane crashes at the beginning of time. One of the passengers, callinging himself the Messenger, says they have to ride the centuries and survive, for mankind to remain dominent. Whatever time they are in, their clothing, hair, skin tone, even speech, is modified to fit that era, so everyone would blend in. They have to survive that era (for however long they are in) and find the yellow road, that tugs at each one. If they die in that era, they die. Only the ones who survive the run of the centuries will live, but will come back with no memory of what had happened.

The Messenger was the one who crashed the plane, sending it back to the beginning of time. He pops in now and then to add encouragement, or to try to fix his mistakes. In the year 1000 first test subjects meet the second test subjects, and he's there to fix it, since no one was supposed to know about the tests.

It's an interesting story as the research is phenomenial. Going back in time for a little snipit here and there really adds to the flavor of the story.

I just hope someone likes the premise of my story and would like to read it.
