Wow! Lizzie you've written a lot in a short time. I've been writing creatively and educationally as long as I can remember, but I've only finished school assignments and one 200-page work. I wrote them longhand and it took me four years to even put those words on paper. To answer your first question, Rachael, when I find myself stuck with my writing, one way I deal with it is write just to complain that I don't know what to write, with sometimes amusing results. Another approach could be to simply describe things around you, whether you sit in a room or park, or take a walk around town. Great ideas come to me when I'm walking around or supposed to be sleeping, maybe too many ideas even. For the second question, most of the time I prefer to write straight-through, but if I get an idea for a scene at a different point in the story I write down a quick summary of the scene and then work on how to go from where I am to that scene. I haven't published anything yet, so we could both use this advice: Don't let rejection keep you from writing. Art is life. Without Art where is the beauty of Life?
