Title: Our House Chapter: 13 Author: Bill aka. Mathguy Plot: Steve and Chad have a fight in the morning. Then Chad goes to the fertility clinic to donate his sperm for Wanda's artificial insemination. Setting: The little apartment next to Steve's and Chad's house. I could imagine the clinic quite well; maybe because there was a time I was often in clinics, too. ![]() ![]() Characters: Steve: Geeze, Bill, now you're showing his best. He behaved like an arrogant ass! ![]() ![]() Chad: It's creepy how much he reminds me of myself, so calming and always trying to please others over himself. He tries anything to cool Steve's bitchy outburst down, but since he's unfortunately no mirror, Narciss stomps on him and this hurts him so bad although he suppresses it. It bothers him that Steve's pissed with him and he can't find his way back to how it former was. Maybe also Steve letting his psychological mask falling and being his real self shatters him, because he's never realized it before or what is more likely has suppressed it. The situation at the clinic is very humiliating for him, because he senses that he's degraded to a human sperm machine and not treated as an equal human being anymore. It's not so much the procedure he will have to endure but the manner the women talk about it that's so embarassing. He has something they want and that quickly and please hurry, will ya? Then piss off. In his conversation with Wanda they do harmless chit-chat and he lets himself get lulled in by Wanda's obviously supporting behavior, but doesn't seem to notice that this isn't real. In the donation suite he must feel like a cow in a flying saucer; so uncomfortable and helpless and alone. That's definitely more than he can handle and being reminded of his nightly dreams during... donating doesn't make it any better. He seems to know unconsciously that he's just used but can't do nothing against it and this ashames him. Wanda: She seems as self-centered as Steve, but she hides it better. Her behavior changes 180° when what she wants is near. First she lulls Chad in with friendly chat and expressing worry about his health condition (maybe fears the little swimmers might be sick, too) but in the examination room with the doctor nothing's left. It can't go fast enough and she gives a shit that it's maybe the first time doing something like that for Chad, that he's humiliated, embarassed or frightened. He has what she wants and that's it. Grammar: None... that I would have noticed, really. ![]() Personal Impression: I feel so sorry for Chad. He wants to please his so-called lover and friend and they treat him liked shit. I had a thought on Chad losing weight. He seemed to have eaten enough and everything, but maybe it's a bit like in this Stephen King Story - I forgot the title. It's about a fat attorney being spelled. As a result of the spell he gets thinner and thinner until... if I remember right it was some demonic presence that spelled him. Maybe it's this way with Chad, too, because of the demon that infiltrated his mind? Wanda and Steve showed their real self. It was like a slap to see Steve's change. Wanda amazed me. Always straight ahead and speaking her guts she's at the same time a smart, rhetorically brilliant talker who gets what she wants this way. Hearing her pushing through her interests is like being blinded by darkness, totally paradox. As you can see by my sermon I like these underlying psycho mechanisms your characters function through. It's a pleasure for my psyched out little mind to analyse around. ![]() I'll be back for more when I'm back at Munich (wednesday or thursday).
