That sounds fine to me. I wasn't really imagining them to be able to control/mesmerize... just to have increased awareness of how others were feeling (and thus the ability to manipulate others in more mundane ways based on that knowledge). But I like your idea of their stronger senses allowing them to sense biological changes. That should also be a good way for Helena specifically to begin being able to recognize biological differences in the people around her... Alber smelling differen than Eliza, Eliza smelling different than humans, Alan smelling like wet dog... :P I.E. walking through the Borderlands should be a good learning experience for her.... help her figure out some things about vampires vs Krusniks, old vs young, and get in touch with her hungry little vampy side. :P

Btw, if it ever comes up as useful to anyone: Eliza is about 250 years old. I'm thinking in "vampire years" that makes her about 35? I.E. still young and energetic, but also mature, established and knowledgeable in the ways of the world. :P
