Oh yeah, I try to choose my words carefully to avoid saying straight out, ' this is contradictory and unintelligible', and all I accomplish is the author deciding it was my fault I didn't get it. They reply with explanations of what they meant and I tell them "I know what was meant, but it doesn't say that"
