I've written longer works--the original version (before the first twelve chapters was published--still waiting for word on the second part of the book) was 120 thousand words or more. I'll have to do a word count on Affairs/Gods but I don't think it's near that long. I do try to keep the chapter length as uniform as possible but I never know until I'm finsihed how long the book will be. *sigh* I jsut can't project those things. Estimations don't do me anygood when I don't know what's happening ina story until I write it. *grins* I'm so disorganized. The only advice I can really give for this is make it as long or short as your stsory needs pers scene or event or whatever and as clsoe to publishers needs and market needs as you can. Soemtimes there is a little leeway. Epub reules are different than print pubs. Most ebooks would be considered long stories or novellas in print pubs. So, all any author can really do is use what works best for your story. Whether long or short. I'm not sure that really helps though.
