Hi Leo, welcome to the site. Writing isn't just about using fancy words, although knowing how to use good punctuation will get you far. :)

I've heard of the Gotham Writers, but have had no experience with them. Sorry about that. BUT, if you're interested in other books on writing, here are some that I own, and can highly recommend:
