Noticing Newbies

Hi All,
I picked up a magazine today, "Writers Workbook 2008" and writing.com was listed. I was recently (first time) published on the internet having won the writer's prompt for the Virginia Writer's Club (August, 2007). I have been writing for many years, but now am serious about getting published in a literary magazine. Ugh, that's another thing altogether, sending out my stories, that is. Hope to meet some of you and read your writing as well. Until then.
