*giggles* If you're selling e-books, it's good to have an e-place to be found by readers. There are many free sites you can use. Honestly, MySpace has been the most interactive and offers me contact with readers, writers, publishers etc. It's great for networking, and for finding potential readers by searching for common interests. I still have my regular website though and two blogs. I have a Yahoo Group but I have mixed feelings about whether it works or just bugs people when I send out updates. Hard to track results.
If you don't want folks to know it's you writing, yes, go for a pen name. My family and friends all know what I write, but I have a pen name anyhow. My only advice is to choose something memorable and easy to pronounce.
