We like it hot and sexy! |
Hi all. I have a question. I am bouncing all over the place in my writing drive. As I said in an earlier post, I have definitely decided that I do not want to actively pursue the hard erotica market. I enjoyed writing my short stories, as well as the first few chapters of a hard erotica novel (Lady Jessica). But I also decided that I do not want to direct my future writing in that direction. I am returning to my SciFi roots, and actively working on a novel in that group. However, I also would like to try my hand at a romantic thriller. This would contain NO explicit sex whatsoever, although it would contain a lot of implied sex (the reader knows it happened, but just didn't get to see it happen) as well as sexual tension between characters. In other words, I am going for a different market. I want the sort of book that could be sold in grocery stores, and read without embarrassment by more conservative people. My question is this: If I decide to write such a novel, could I post it here for review? Would the fact that it contains no explicit sex disqualify it from this forum? Thanks! TimM |
