Well, Pat, now that I've recovered from my fainting spell, I do want to wish you luck. Please don;t take any of my comments the wrong way. I know that happy feeling you have. I've been there too. Be aware though that the majority of author complaints were because of little or no sales. PublishAmerica is rumored to publish anyone that submits, have shoddy editing (a no-edit option is certainly not a publishing standard--I'm appalled that they offer that--not a good sign at all--you might as well self publish through Lulu.com and retain total control of your work), and they overprice the books making it unlikely that a book will sell. Note the hefty price on your book. Ask yourself if that price is comparable to other books in your category with the same length. Or have you just been priced right out of the market? The way they make money is this: the authors end up buying their own books at a discount and then going out into the world to try and sell them. Please don't do that, Pat. Don't get scammed. PA is upfront in that they don't market. They expect you to do that. Most small e-publishers do a little marketing, but expect authors to do their share also. Just be careful. Hold your pocketbook tight. And watch the PA message boards. When I had submitted I read some derogatory comments from their authors. The rumor too is that PA hurriedly deletes such comments to keep themselves looking good.
