OT: I'm looking for an opinion

I've been mulling it over and I need to know. I have a short story that I really like and always manages to intrigue my own imagination and instead of a review, I was wondering wether you could tell me if it would be suitable as a chapter or prologue in a bigger story. This is the piece:
