I knew nothing about erotica either, LB. If you know how to write (which you do) then it's just another realm of writing (with naughty, lusty scenes and words).

The first chapter is completely different from the rest of the book. Yes, it is a confessional (a diary entry) and it ends with a diary entry as well. I just wanted to show the reader some "personal" insight into Daniella because I keep her more or less mysterious in the beginning and I do that for a reason. As for certain words, I really liked your suggestions. I wanted to keep in mind that she's writing this, and people write rather simplistically. (Yeah, coming from me)! Thanks so much. I made changes.

With respect to Daniella's mother, this isn't important just yet (and I say "just yet" because it will, a little later on in Book II or maybe Book III). Daniella does not mix her blood with her mother (she just drinks it), and in fact, she didn't know back then that by doing so, this would have kept her mother by her side (another hint I needed to give the reader). That, too, was the reason why I explained the differences in Daniella's vampiric structure, as compared to other vampires. She's unique and because of this, the dominoes begin tumbling.
