We like it hot and sexy! |
Carol, are you not comfortable with this? Please let me know. The opening chapter is not laying out an "erotica" scene. It's being used as an introduction of who this "Peeping Tom" or the "extra character" will be in your chapters. I tried to basically introduce him to give the reader an idea as to why he wants different pets...that's it. The "erotica" portions will be written by yourselves. He's a demon, with no redeeming qualities. I thought we're not redeeming anyone. We're writing of the eight deadly sins. As Valèn lives in hell, he's a "demon" and sins like this would excite him. It's through your characters' actions that will give him the erotica qualities. He can't be good or this would seem unbelievable to a reader. The sins you are to write about will make up his mind as to whether they're worthy of him or not. What they do (the "actions" you write) will cause him to decide whether to take them back to hell with him or not. In another scenario...he doesn't have to take them at all in the end. He could just sit back and be content to wait until they die, if need be. Then I will have to change that in the first chapter, because this is the main reason he breaks the veils of time...he's tired of waiting. He's looking for more, something to quell his restless needs. Does this make better sense?
