OK...it's pretty clear that Valen prefers a truly amoral person for his pet. So...does this mean our victims (which are also our main characters) should be worthy of hell? Or are they truly victims?

I'm not really on board about redeeming Valen...he's a demon. Demon's are bad. Demon's in hell are beyond salvation, no? Is he simply going to go through a change of heart as to his preferred type of pet?

This needs to be clear so I can carve my victim to fit into his spot on Valen's shelf.
