| There have been three movies about a lost ship in the Bermuda Trianngle: "The Triangle", "Voyage of the Dammed", and "Ghost Ship". Not one of them is outstanding but I like "The Triangle" better than the other two. "Ghost Ship" is a very convoluted version of "The Triangle" with outstanding effects. I couldnt tell if the devil or jewel thieves or food poisoning caused the haunting but the plot was totally mixed up. On the other hand, "Ghost Ship" is the only one with no survivors and I like how that worked out. "Voyage of the Dammed" wasn't a straight horror story because the protagonists relationship with his father interrupted the horror. I didn't like the father angle. Once the protagonist resolved his daddy issues, the ship stops haunting the triangle. Why should one affect the other? Its like "Father Knows Best" gets stuck in the "Tilight Zone". "The Triangle" beats the other two because it incorporates the physical properties of the triangle into the plot. The plot doesnt have the convoluted features of "Ghost Ship" or the dadddy angel of the "Voyage of the Dammed". What do you think? |
