After reading a certain book that I shall not mention here because I will be tempted to rant about it too much. Uh, I suddenly realized that there are a number of ways that people can fall in love, and writing a deep and meaningful relationship between two people is complicated.

So, I'm curious, what are some of the romances between characters you've written? How did they come about? Are you happy with the pair? Do readers/reviewers respond well to the relationship? Anything you've discovered to work quite well for realism?

And finally, what's the worst romance you've ever read? Excluding romance novels.
