Trailblazing Chatter

First, let me say congrats to Eric & Patricia for their excellent efforts in the daily flash contest. Way to go!

Next, I'd like to let you all know that I may not post in this forum very often, but that doesn't mean I'm not supporting you guys. I found it ironic that one of the judges of my contest "Invalid Item"  gave a prompt yesterday on being shy, because that is me. I am an extremely shy person. I rarely comment on blogs or chat in forums such as this for fear of screwing up and saying something that someone takes the wrong way. So anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I am behind this team 100%, and just because I'm not commenting doesn't mean I'm not reading the posts and cheering you on.

I'm struggling with my own writing right now. I entered a contest a couple of weeks ago with 2 entries and I didn't place, which for some reason shook my confidence a little bit. I've never let non-wins bother me before, but I was rather surprised I didn't even get an Honorable out of the contest, simply because the judges gave my work very good reviews. So I'm trying to blow that off and get my mindset back where it should be so I can finish some pieces I'm working on and enter them before other contest deadlines. Hopefully that happens soon.

And lastly, just a heads up for the poets here that enter my Poetry contest on a regular basis. I've been in communications with Kate about possibly running a 10 day intramural, similar to the daily flash contest. (2 members per team, etc.) I haven't received a final yes or no, but you may want to start thinking about who will compete if it takes place. (To keep things fair to all, I won't voice my opinion on that issue. ) Dates that were mentioned were June 21-30, but since that's in just a few days I'm not sure if those dates will stick, even if the contest is approved.
