This is where Trailblazers can chat with other team members. |
Char, Thanks so much for the kind words. The support of you and other members of this group has been tremendous, and it was a real joy to be teamed with Patricia. Lest anyone wonder, Patricia was not just my nearest contender, she almost beat the pants off me. We were only separated by 4 points. Thats extremely close when you consider the maximum you could get for any one of the daily contests was 7 points. One win her way as opposed to mine and she would be winning the merit badge. I wish there was some way I could share the merit badge with her, since this was truly a team effort. I guess the best I can do is say that it does indeed belong to both of us, as well as the team as a whole. I was disappointed to see a post in the Clubhouse that said I managed to hold off my own teammate. Nothing could be further from the truth. We both entered this intramural with the goal of helping each other, regardless of who was left standing when the dust settled. The results bear out the positives of this approach. Standing alone, neither of us would probably have done as well as we did. Together, we prodded, reviewed, challenged, and urged each other on--just as happy to see the other win as ourself. That, in my opinion, is what this team approach is all about. I challenge the next team in the next intramural to do the same, and would love to see the Trailblazers become known as the team that works together better than anyone. So let me give a heartfelt thanks to my teammates who offered reviews and words of encouragement, and a bow to Patricia for being the best writing partner anyone could have. Thank you P, thank you all. Eric |
