... for you to enter PRELIM ROUND 4! ![]() We'll post those who place in this round and advance to the Finales by sometime Sunday afternoon or evening, and then we'll post a list of the Finalists on the main header page of the SLAM stage so everyone is clear about who is eligible to compete. If you don't advance to the Finales, you may still write poems for the prompts - we'll just ask that you post them here, in the Green Room, instead of on the SLAM stage, so as not to confuse our addled judge brains! ![]() NOTE: The Finale Schedule will slightly different, with fewer days to write, and a 10am deadline (instead of midnight). The schedule is on the main SLAM stage page, and we will post it here as well, once the Finales begin on Monday - but keep in mind it'll be a tighter schedule once the finales begin. And let me say this again - because it's worth repeating: EVERYONE who SLAMS is a winner, whether or not you place in a round. Putting yourself out there, writing to the prompts, sharing your heart and soul with us, and ending up with great new poems for your portfolio -- all of that makes you winners. I've placed in some SLAMS, not in others, and never won the entire shebang - but I value each and every SLAM I've been part of for the past 4+ years, and consider myself a winner each time because of my participation, regardless of whether I placed or won a round or not. So while that may be hard to believe, especially if you are new to SLAM -- it really IS true. We KNOW you are putting your hearts and souls out there for us, which makes it even more difficult for us to judge... So CONGRATULATIONS to all of you SLAMMERS, new and old - and THANK YOU for your great participation! Sophyween ![]() |
