Writer's Fallout Shelter

Currently I'm working on a musical about the shakers, bringing back my writing guild from extinction, and restarting a novel I discarded awhile ago because it was too...to be frank I'm not even sure at this point.

I'm deep into the Shaker musical. I keep having ideas that I have to scribble down in my notebook, but they don't show any form. My father, who's helping me with the project, keeps insisting that I type it all out, but how do you type out diagrams and things you aren't sure are scribbles or words? Its just an organization disaster!

The novel is a work I did about two years ago, and didn't do much then. I seem to have a bad habit of getting depressed about my work in the middle of the process and tossing it aside. It's about a mage who goes to another land to teach a noble's daughter magic. However, he doesn't know that he'll be teaching anyone, much less a girl, and is furious when he finds out. Eventually, he gets over it and they become friends, of a sort.
