HI! LOL point made but not taken with me though. When I can set out to read something, I don't want it to be a view without a rate.

Many seem to put lots of importance to stats for items or views for main portfolio. Thus, when I read, I respect the author in rating at least and if possible, review. When I first started to check my stats, I was terribly hurt at times because of lack of rate or comment, leaving me with the thought I really had written a very bad item.

Thus, started to investigate the world of stats by clicking all the links given in full stats etc... while doing this, I discovered that many of my items were unrateable and would only realize it by clicking my item. That I do, to put myself in the eye of the reader that just read my item. This way, I can put myself into someone else's shoes to look at my item.

After a while, I asked SM if it was possible to see in my stats which items were non-rateable, so that I would not have to check all the time and would save me and others some grief, so to speak. We now have that in the stats, thanks to SM.

To return to the subject, reading takes me lots of energy. The little time lost of realising I have already rated something is not the problem and yes, at times I will read it again if I feel the need to. But then, the author is getting one view for the item wihtout rate or review and that is one major complain through-out the site and can be verified easily.

I am not always capable to review an item for varied reasons but I do rate at least, the least I can do.

Since inside the item we can see how many stars we have given that item before, my logic says it could be visible from outside the item. One gets two views for every rate or review and it is affecting the stats there too but it is normal since the page gererates twice when we rate or review.

Hope I made my point a bit clearer. ;) That is my reasoning.
