First, Hello K'neto: sorry so long without my presence here; I'd been very busy with school and family. Seems I've missed a lot. ![]() Before I continue, I'd like to say first, it wasn't me, folks, who rated so low. He had already received a review and rate from me long before this bad thing happened. I do sometimes still rate anonymously, but am trying to get away from that habit, as it causes mixed feelings sometimes for the recipients who don't know who to thank for the ratings. After posting a recent blog entry and receiving good responses from intelligent, thoughtful readers, I'm beginning to change my mind to only go anonymous with gift giving, but not reviews. I don't hate rate, but have on few occasions given low ratings. :*: This is serious business that K'neto brings up about his Piggybank item. Only people who have a precise, well-analyzed reason for reviewing or rating anonymously should do so--otherwise, you risk making errors that cannot be called to attention, (as K'neto pointed out), you risk spreading bad feelings about a piece, and you could even ruin someone's time spent at this website. People should not have to develop tougher skins; they should be able to expect honesty, courtesy, and integrity from the members of this site. Remember, if you want to review something, but don't have the time to immediately focus upon it, you can always save the item in a special folder in the My Favorites section, or keep a private note on it. If you don't understand something, don't be afraid to ask; most people at this site are very helpful or polite and will direct you to whatever you need to know. Hate rating is just wrong. Kee |
