Message forum for those who've jumped on the Health Habits Bandwagon. |
I agree with you, Barbie, but completely cutting out sweets in the past has caused me to lose my diets in the past. I'm now on the Bandwagon, but not dieting. Instead, I'm making a life change. What I do about sweets is I cut it down to 1 a day. For example, right now there are 3 cinnamon rolls in the refrigerator. I allow myself one for breakfast each morning. Do I ever have more than the alloted 1 serving? Yes, I do. But I get right back on the bandwagon! Another move I make is that I choose to have a limited amount of sweets in my household at one time. This cuts back on the sugar in-take as I have practically eliminated the temptation. I make my meals more interesting by having lots of "flava" and eat a variety of foods. I make sure to get enough food from (the old) Food Guide Pyramid into my diet per day. This teases my taste buds and doesn't bore them so that I get hungry for sweets. Finally, I remember my point chart. I need those points high at the end of the day so I can earn whatever I want. For instance, once I've lost some weight and gained some points, I could choose to buy new clothes, buy a new book, have an extra sweet, etc. Just a couple of ideas for those who are wondering how to cut back on the sweets! ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
