I give it 4½ stars





When all the world is sleeping


When the day has said goodnight


And the stars shine bright upon us


And protect us in their light




Then the evening brings a memory


Remembered only in the deepest soul


And the times of constant changing


Settle in the hopes someone once stole




Before the dream of something better


Could form itself in our mind


First we learned life’s greatest lesson


The one true thing our hearts must find




So softly love enters our lifetime


Quietly held by our fragile hands


Knowing nothing of the feelings


Still hoping someone understands




Love drifts in and out as a current


As a wave upon the seas


Sometimes soft and rhythmic


Sometimes rough as the tides can be




And yet we learned to hold it


Safely sheltered from the pain


Though it’s clear how love can hurt us


Still it’s a need we can’t explain




That thing we need so badly


It’s the same something, that we fear


It pulls us through the hard times


And makes the winding road more clear




For without a love to believe in


What better thing to share


Love is the thread that binds us


And inspires us to care.
