Need some help on a stumper....

Does anyone have a good source for inspiration on writing a fairly involved fight sequence?

The weaponry is alien, but a close human analog would be 15th-17th Century European tournement...broadsword, mace, quarterstaff, dirk, etc.

I have tried some of the standard stuff and some of the more contemporary; Rob Roy for the former and even stooped to watching HIGHLANDER and MORTAL KOMBAT to see if I could get some clue there...
