Well, all writers, I think, experience what you just mentioned: hesitations on giving out bad ratings. ESPECIALLY IF WE KNOW THE AUTHOR PERSONALLY (a friend or an acquaintance, offline or online). That's when we turn to our original question, "What are anonymous reviews for?" I think anonymity serves a great deal for consequences like this -- some bad article which really needs work, and you do not want to send it with your name in it, 'coz it would be embarassing or uncomfortable. That's new, alright... Suddenly, I'm beginning to see the point of the existence of Anonymous.

However, let's wait for more callers... they might have something to say against it.
