The Rhymes You Hate

Please enjoy hating this truly, truly hideous poem I wrote and then NEVER speak of it again :)

Death of a Heart

A broken heart all alone
just trying to survive

"Please love me" it said
"for a heart unloved
ceases to exist"

but no one came
no one cared
and the heart's cries
became a whisper

"Please hlep me"
it pleaded
don't ignore me"
but its pleas were to quiet to hear
and the others walked on by

Its energy waning
the heart uttered its final words

"I wanted only to be loved"

A broken heart all alone
just trying to survive
Lay down its head
and beat . . . and beat . . .
and died.
