"I’m Not a Waitress" I’m not a Waitress But a Woman’s job is the same And no tipping involved? Well, that’s really lame All the verbs that engulf me Get, fetch, deliver Long day at work, honey? Well, Cry Me a River Get chocolate pudding for the Baby Yes, that’s my job Get the pudding stain out Lest I look like a slob Fetch the paper for Mister You bet, that’s me Although the sports page is missing Of course ‘accidentally’ Deliver cupcakes for the Middle Strawberry icing please Juggling three dozen of them Would weaken Hercules For the divine Eldest child The job’s not much of a chore Serve three yummy hots a day But NOTHING from the day before I’m not a waitress, a cook And don’t call me a hostess If I survive long enough Call me the ‘Mom with the Mostest’ |
