The Hint Fiction Contest

All stories must match the prompt with word count in forum post.

All stories must be rated appropriately for content. All ratings allowed.

There will be only one entry per round per person per prompt.

Must be a static item in your port. Post in forum using bitem format.
Need help to bitem? Read " Weekly NEWBIE Challenge"  [E]. Posting a story directly in the forum will lead to deletion. *Book items may be used, but judges appreciate a bitem link to the book as well as a direct link to the story.

Contest will be run on monthly prompts.

No editing after the round closes.

} If a prompt requires an exact word or phrase, use {b} and {/b} tags to bold the word or phrase.

All entries must be made public by time of round judging and include word count and chosen prompt in forum post.

If any participant doesn't have space in their port because of membership restrictions, email Storm Machine to make arrangements.

Judge is looking for beginning, middle, end of plot and not a simply vignette or "slice of life".

Prizes:
Grand Prize will receive a Merit Badge or 10 000 GPs
If a single prompt has at least 5 entries, Best in Prompt will also be awarded
Best in Prompt will receive 3000 GPs

Febuary Prompts:
Prompt 1: Write a story up to 53 words. One genre must be romance.
Prompt 2: Write a story between 61 and 75 words; bold the words fancy and preposterous.
Prompt 3: Write a story of exactly 77 words. Include a dragon in the story.

Round runs from 3 February to 23 February.
