While it is hard to put just one, there are some that sort of fall together in the similar elements and problems. In truth, there are quite a few genres on the list that I would rather not write and rarely ever will make an attempt but that doesn't mean I haven't done one before. In fact, I really don't like writing about myself. That means anything along the lines of personal or biography, etc, those types I don't like because of reasons that I can't even explain. I have never liked writing about myself but in school some assignments required such, though I did manage to get an A on one such paper but didn't actually write about myself. School covers lots of topics like law, news, and even some elements of genealogy since I did take a creative nonfiction writing class in college. I just can't remember what I wrote about. Oh well. I would say for the assignment, however, that the big ones for me are Business, Finance and Computer. I tried reading a book on economics in high school but like chemistry, it's something that I just don't understand. There is so much about the financial world that makes no sense to me and I wish that I had someone to help me understand how things worked. And I'm not very tech savvy so, yeah, computers. While some of my characters have to use a computer and one can make them out of parts, I don't go into detail because I know very little. What has been interesting is that some of the things other people won't do, that is what I write often. Not because I know it all that well or it is a specific part of me. In fact, I'm probably one of the less qualified for erotica and yet I run the Weekly Quickie Contest. *shrugs* Since I don't write me, I like to do whatever comes to mind instead of writing what I know. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Either way, I have a lot of writing done so far and so much more to go. Just not anything about Finance or Business. Word count: 363 |
