1. simondoerr <Charles Nasby> Hello, Charles Nasby Portfolio: Your current Port pic is cute, as are most pictures of baby birds (whether real or almost); I also think the duck on your port case is pretty cool. The Header tells us you've only been here just over a year, but have wasted no time in joining at least one group and are / have been involved in some cool action here on-site. You've also created a guestbook and highlighted it, the better to invite folks to drop by and leave a greeting - nice! The page as a whole has a clean look, not at all cluttered (quite unlike mine, as a couple of our friends have noted), and gives visitors some clear options to check out. Reviews: Your Review Requests are ON and, based on the 4 pages shown, it looks like more than a few fellow writers have taken you up on your offer. You've also described your Review Style, what type of reviews you're good at, as well as your Favorite and Least Favorite Genres. Visitors trying to decide if they want to ask you for a review get a pretty clear idea whether or not you'd be glad to do it or, since you mentioned you'd review "pretty much anything", will just undertake the mission if asked. Biography: Your Bio page tells us everything we'd like to know when first getting to meet someone, and perhaps a bit more. After all, how many people volunteer their actual birthday the first time you shake hands? Notebook: Well, you waited a year to make your first Notebook / Newsfeed post, but that certainly opened the tap for additional commentary! Between 26 Paychecks, Account Anniversaries and local weather, you're well on your way to filling up your first page. Blog: It looks like you have one, but it's not open to the public at this time. One day, perhaps? Community: You have certainly been out and about and staying active in the Community. You've already collected 2 Awardicons for your port to go along with 1 recognizing your volunteer efforts, and more than 140 Merit Badges fill up that center column - way to go! Oh, yeah, let's not forget the 581 Trinkets you've already collected. I wouldn't be surprised to learn there are folks who've been here much longer that have collected far fewer. Your exploring the Newsfeed and various ports has really paid dividends! Overall, I'd say you have a nice port with welcoming pictures, enough info to give visitors a good feel for who you are and what you like. Keep working on that novel, and have a great day! ^^^^^^^^^^ 2. stoland1999 <Maddie Stone> Howdy, Maddie Pot o' Gold Stone Portfolio: I like the quill and heart in your port pic; to me, it says 'Writing and love' to your visitors. The Header tells us you've been here about 31/2 years, and the full page tells us you've not let the dust gather on your keyboard. Your folders are descriptive and most of them are adorned with clip art, which always looks nice. My port page has folders with clip art, too, but the words "nice clean look" do not apply. You haven't chosen to highlight a particular item yet; a quick check of a few folders yielded some fine candidates, if you're so inclined. Reviews: You've turned Review Requests ON and, based on the five pages of reviews available for viewing, several fellow writers have asked for your opinion - fantastic! You've also taken the time to fill out the Review "bio", so visitors get a clear idea what they can expect by way of a review, what you feel comfortable reviewing, and what you'd just as soon not see on your screen. Also, I like the card catalog pic you used; I used to take advantage of them every visit to my local library. Biography: I love the bit of nature you included on this page; photos of hills and mountains are always nice. Your bio info says you share a birth month with my younger brother and his son (and a few million other folks, I'm sure, but I don't know them Notebook: The pic on this tab made me laugh - and wonder if you're part cat. Folks always say they're out to rule the world, one owner (servant) at a time. Blog: You've filled 5 pages on your blog. That may not sound like much, but a survey of those pages shows that many of them are quite detailed, providing background to your life experiences, clear advice on how a visitor / reader might improve him-/herself in some way, and so on. It makes for a good read. Community: 86 Trinkets, 83 Merit Badges and 11 Awardicons tell a visitor right away - this writer is involved and out there doing stuff! How else can we tell? There are 19 fans out there who say so, and who has standing to say them nay? Nobody. Outstanding job, Maddie! Overall, there is much to see and admire about your port, Maddie, and I'm glad I chose it for this task. Best regards, MikeWrites ^^^^^^^^^^ 3. llynnichole <Lynn Nichole> Greetings, Lynn Nichole Portfolio: The LN block letters make a nice intro to and are in keeping with the neat, clean page of your port header. The little bio sketch gives us a glimpse into what visitors might expect to find in your port, as do the clearly labeled folders, and I especially like the cover art on "Writers' Park" . The framework and folders are all set, just waiting for entries as you have the time to make them. Reviews: You've set Review Requests to ON, which is good, but it doesn't appear as though many have taken advantage of it. That's a shame as, of the 8 reviews available for viewing, only 2 have fewer than 2000 characters. Clearly, you give detailed feedback that most writers would appreciate, as mentioned in the bio part of the tab. You let visitors know what you like and what you don't like, how you formulate your reviews, and the type of feedback they can expect to receive. Biography: You've taken advantage of the various fields to let visitors know a little about yourself, your likes [classical music!] and dislikes, and what you like to write. It's also clear you're a reader, as you're a member of "Rach's Reading Club" . The NEW AND UPDATED ITEMS section lists a few things that are on your front burner, chief among which seems to be your "Dear Me" letter for 2026. Best of luck with those goals! Notebook: Your Notebook tab hasn't seen a lot of activity yet but, based on the most recent posts, it looks like 26 Paychecks may change that. Blog: Your Blog tab isn't active, but you have 2 blogs all set up and awaiting entries: "The Thicket" and "The Mountain" . Each has its own focus, and both look like they'll contain some interesting and helpful information (hopefully in the not too distant future). Community: 59 Merit Badges, 2 Awardicons and 11 fans tell us you've been around the block a few times and collected some keepsakes along the way. Overall, your port has a neat and organized appearance, with places visitors can go to get to know you a little. Keep up the good writing! Best regards, MikeWrites ![]() |
