To be honest, I thought it did tell not just the date but also the hours. I think the last time I was less than a full day away, it told me 22 hours. So that might not be to the minute, but the hours are pretty good.

Maybe asking for this to be announced down to the minute is a lot of coding and SM needs to work on other parts of the site to fix bugs.
