This is a daily contest for both poetry and stories that has to be written to a specific prompt. Because the prompts are so quick, it's a good opportunity to get practice writing and to read and be read, which is a lot of what we need as writers.

Also, in April, there will likely be several contests or activities opening up for National Poetry month--and that's less than a week away. Take a look at the side of your screen under your community tab to find links to recently opened "Activities @ Writing.Com"  or "Writing Contests @ Writing.Com"
