The Octain Refrain was invented by English poet Luke Prater. Its structure consists of eight lines with eight syllables per line, divided into two tercets followed by a couplet. The rhyme scheme is Abb a(c/c)a bA, where the first line is the refrain repeated in the last line and the fifth line has internal rhyming in lieu of end rhymes, as demonstrated in the following link: http://www.shadowpoetry.com/resources/wip/octainrefrain.html .
