Form of the week: Wrapped Refrain

Created by Jan Turner, the Wrapped Refrain consists of two or more hexastiches (six line stanzas) with eight syllables in the first four lines and twelve syllables in the last two lines of each stanza. The rhyme scheme is rhyming couplets, aabbcc, ddeeff, etc., but the distinguishing feature of this form is that the first four syllables must be repeated as the last four syllables in each stanza, as demonstrated in the following links:
