A mornings word

And so comes the night
shadows chase the retreating fingers
of another day in flight
dark and silent whispers
leave shadows in their wake
fleeting sunbeams linger
upon horizons make
and there the fading glimers
of twilights distant glow
dance upon the waters
of daylights final show
to wait upon the morrow
a dawning yet anew
to sweep away the darkness
that night has left askew
