Do you have what it takes to survive the Wild West?

[Introduction]
The sleepy town of Mountain Springs is home to a small population, some living in the town proper, others building homesteads, ranches, or digging and panning for that sweet, sweet gold.

(Oh, right, and it's steampunk --> an alternate timeline to real history)

It's harsh out here. Wild animals, inclement weather, and gangs of ruffians looking to steal all your hard-earned cash.

(The main location of the story will take place within, or nearby, Mountain Springs)

So. You think you got what it takes to survive The Wild West in all of its glory? We'll just see about that, won't we, partner?

*Sheriff* Your occupation can be pretty much anything that fits the time period and location, but here are some examples. *Sheriff*

~ Saloon Piano Player
~ Gold Miner / Gold Panner
~ Preacher
~ Bounty Hunter
~ Undertaker
~ Inventor
~ Town Drunk

*Sheriff* Mountain Springs is a small town, but it's not like there's nothing to do. Here are some occupations, buildings, and activities in our cozy little town. *Sheriff*

~ Saloon (With a place to park your horse)
~ Small Bank
~ Boarding House (With extra charge options for bath, laundry, and three hot meals a day!)
~ Church
~ Sheriff's Office
~ Blacksmith (Can shoe horses; bonus!)
~ Doctor's Office
~ General Store
~ Post Office (Telegrams are available)
~ Cemetery (Just outside of town)

*Sheriff* Places of interest nearby *Sheriff*:

~ Rivers to bathe and wash clothes in (or pan for gold)
~ A still-in-progress gold mine
~ Several ranches and homesteads (Some of which you might be lucky enough to own, depending on what path you choose!)
~ Bandit camps (would suggest you avoid... unless you are a bandit yourself!)

*Gear* The Steampunk *Gear*

The steampunk aspect of this campfire is supposed to be grounded. It's there, and can be used for fun and plot, but it's not supposed to be overpowering. So, some examples of steampunk in the story might be:

~ Prosthetic limbs (from cheap wood to wealthy and more flexible metals)
~ (Rough) Medical advancements
~ More effective (but not overpowered) weapons -- say, a pistol that can fire more shots than normal, or an automatically reloading rifle
~ Maybe some steam-powered coaches
~ Etc, etc, etc (totally here to work with you)

(For more information on the campfire, such as NPCs, please direct yourself here: https://www.writing.com/main/view_item/item_id/2350010-Way-Out-West-More-Informa...)

*Sheriff* Your first addition would look like this *Sheriff*

Name:

Age:

Appearance:

Occupation:

Personality:

Extra:

Now, as this is also a steampunk-themed campfire, you might have special weapons or prosthetics, but please check with me first.

I know this looks like a lot, but it's actually supposed to make things easier and more coherent for everyone.

*Sheriff* So! You ready to ride, partner? *Sheriff*
