 |  A historical/fantasy novel that takes place in Roman Britain |

Please note this is a work in progress. At one point, I tried to rewrite as I went along, but did not find that worked. Now, I'm getting the book written with the intention of doing a major edit at the end. Thank you for reviewing; I need all the help I can get! When I was 16 I did a presentation on Roman Britain in my History class. Most recently, I had a dream about the main character, Carden and thus, a book was started. This is an on-going effort to mix fantasy and history with some romance. Not sure if it will be successful, but the character demanded a voice. So far these are the main characters: Carden Kavanagh: Young, but hardened warrior, does not believe in Celtic magic, but is brave, fierce and ruthless in battle. Rowena Cormac: A young woman, illegitimate daughter of Hamish Cormac, friend of Carden's father. She is gifted with traditional Celtic magic, including hypnosis, healing and fortune telling. Gwydion - Druid and Advisor to Lord Cormac Breanna Kavanagh: Carden's sister. Marcus: Roman legionnaire, well educated. Breanna's love interest. Aurelius: Legionnaire commader. Carden's enemy because of what he sees as Carden's treachery towards him and his soldiers. |
