I dunno about you being selfish. I mean after you offer condolences to the family, there's not much you can really do for "the sweetest old man imaginable". You could maybe check in on the widow. Make sure she has everything she needs including a listening ear after the mourners leave.

Being in very deep these days is a major anxiety and concern.

You got a pot roast for $1.50!?? Well Holy Stay-Puf Marshmallow man I'm impressed! That is a deal and half. I've never made butternut squash soup, is it good? I like soup. I like squash... sounds like a solid combination to me. I buy squash all the time actually but I feed it to my turtles; Bonnie and Clyde. They love squash and zuchinni. *ponders if I spelled that correctly then moves on* Well I got your note, with the links and this is where I ended up. Amazing how that works huh!? Technology I tell ya ...

So I'm at work. No gunplay here, no dead squirrels, there is metal boxes though but I don't have one *does happy dance then realizes not having one means I'm a nobody*

No lady in human resources barking about me leaving orange cones all about. Although we have security for that. I think I'm the only person in the whole company who hasn't at one time or another parked in permit parking without a permit ... wonder if that makes me a boring dweeb?

Okay I should stop rambling. I think there is a limit on these things. Darn blog Nazi's ... *shakes head muttering as she wanders off*

I went back to church today, too! I had been away for much of the summer and the fall up till now, for various reasons, including being an Emily-Dickinson-church-of-the-back-yard type. It was nice to be back!

I wish you well in your churching experience. I hadn't been since I was about 10, and came back to a progressive Christian church about 30 years later. My husband is Catholic, and I sent my kids to Catholic school for a while to get a bit of that heritage. Now I'm the only one who goes to chuch at all. Except on Christmas Eve. Then they all come for supper and carol singing.

This book is currently empty.
