Every fall, I used to make a dozen or more apple pies. When I lived in California, we'd take a day trip to the foothills where there were apple orchards and would buy a couple bushels of apples.
The whole neighborhood could smell the apples baking. I gave pies to neighbors. I even made a quarter-pan, deep dish apple pie to give to the food kitchen. It was my way of spreading joy.
I don't bake much anymore. My apple trees had a bad year. But, I also noticed that the Crisco my mother and grandmother used for years just doesn't taste the same in the dough. I think they changed the formula. I know, its a bad fat to use, and the change makes it easier to not use it in pastry dough. Butter, tastes different in crust, too. So, I just gave up on it.
I adore Kate Winslet. I love hearing how other actresses talk about her too and the admiration they have for her because of the advice and guidance she willing offers them. I also love how frank and honest she is in interviews.
I'm sick and tired of the commercials that go on forever. It seems you get many of the same repeated over and over. Thankfully with my XUMO TV box I have with Spectrum, I can pause live TV and go do stuff. When I come back, I can fast forward to what I was watching. I think I know those dang commercials in my sleep. I don't need to be sitting through them. (I don't want to pay more a month for the VCR with the cable.)
Also, I have Amazon Prime. It used to be without Ads. Now you have to pay more not to have them. Ridiculous! And, anything you look at on the Amazon store seems to appear on the Cable TV because they share all that. That's with the phone and Kindle, too. They are "in sync."
Wishing for things to be better is something that makes us human. We can wish and dream and hope and have faith. Thank you for sharing and best wishes for a beautiful day ahead
