Too Smart For Me

In my den there is a "Smart" TV.
You know, the kind you only need
one remote to switch
from Live to Streaming.
But this thing goes from smart to dumb
instead of instant transfer I get error.
"no internet connection"

Now why not?
The modem is on, I have internet
for my iPhone, iPad, and desktop.
Other TVs in the home can connect
using a fire stick with no problem.
Just this "Smart TV" can't seem to
find a signal. I'm told it leaks.

So here is the ritual,
turn off the circuit breaker
on the power strip for one full minute.
Then flip it back on and wait five minutes
for the modem and TV to boot up and sync.
This means the internet is down
throughout the house during this time
and this process has no guarantee
that the stupid TV will now do its job
and then I have to do it again.
