Hope

Hope upon the Word of God.
Hope to see, and aye applaud.
Hope to live the fullest way.
Hope! On His Foundation stay.

Hope to daily climb the hill.
Hope to climb o'er rock and rill.
Hope to wait and seek His Face.
Hope to know His lasting Grace.

Hope is not this hope-so caused
by wishful thinking, that has paused
the life of triumph I have known.
It means my inner man has grown.

Hope through ev'ry day the same.
Hope from Heaven to us came.
Hope's foundation makes us new.
Hope sees victory, that's due.

Hope to stand with nothing done.
Hope to stand in the victory won.
Hope upon the Word of God.
Hope to see, and aye applaud.
Hope to live the fullest way.
