Walk on a Pacific Beach

I walked on the hot Pacific sand,
waves cooled my bare-feet,
and I blocked
the crowd's distant noise
from my mind.

I meditated on the waves--
         rolling into shore,
         rolling out sea--
and a peaceful feeling came over me.
