My Own Fashion Sense

I am not a clothes horse!
I am not a fashionista!
I am a secondhand rose!
I wear clothes
purchased at the secondhand store.

At 73,
I prefer to go braless,
which I can't do on the paratransit bus
because elderly men--
who want me to take care of them--
flirt with me.

I prefer to wear long dresses,
slacks,
t-shirts,
and comfortable shoes;
I no longer wear short-shorts,
mini skirts,
or spiked heels.

My favorite hoodie
is a gray writing.com hoodie,
and my favorite t-shirt
if a black writing.com t-shirt.

At 73,
I finally
like being me,
with my own fashion sense.
