Challenging Poetry

a long day

because of meals,
a quick pharmacy run,
a dropped stitch,
an argument that deteriorated into
name calling and sobbing in the corner,
a batch of medicinal brownies,
and an unfortunate episode involving
cable surgery on a sock,
it took ages to write this poem.
