Treasured Work Memory

Prompt: What is your most treasured work memory?

I didn't always enjoy working but I do have some fond memories. I worked in Nursing Homes and Mental Health. Three of the patients I was friends with and two of them I took to the movies and out to eat. I used to pass out Valentines to the patients and they enjoyed them. I made friends with most of the employees. We would exchange Christmas gifts and help each other with our problems.

I once got an Award for most Valuable Employee. We would get in-service Awards and pins once a year. On Nurses Day at the Nursing Home, I got a T-shirt, flowers and special lunches for Nursing employees.

I used to see Avon. I loved seeing all the new products and getting gifts when I won for selling the most of products. I met new friends and learned about wearing make up and how to accessorize my clothes. These are some of my fondest memories.
