| Morning Reflection Two rheumy eyes, a wrinkled face, a bushy beard, a thatch of thinning hair, and bleak expression. Who is this stranger? What is he doing in my house? How did he stumble here? Why is his face so sad? I sigh and put my toothbrush down, then try to soothe away my frown. Within my head I'm still a youth, but mirrors only show the truth. Line count: 13 Form: no set form but written in varied iambic meter and with ABAB rhyming on the concluding quatrain. Prompt: Describe something you see every day. |
