March 8, 1936 Daytona

Prompt: Lyn asked us to write about something that happened on this day that had special meaning to us.

March 8, 1936. NASCAR held it's first race in Daytona. I love NASCAR, well, not like I used to but I still watch the NASCAR races and Daytona is always a special race and so is The Brickyard 500 but anyway, NASCAR is special. Kasey Kayne quit but I still have a picture of him when he drove a red car No. 8 and a Teddy Bear of him. NASCAR is the only sport I care about unless you count ice skating or snow boarding. I do enjoy watching The Daytona. It is a special race.
