Nuclear Winter

Contemplating
the toxic clouds of dust and fog
rising from the ruins of regret,
I can visualize the future
beyond this present existence.

Every decision made
within this past year is reviewed
and labeled:
wrong!

The cold reality of my own stupidity
encourages the terror
crawling through my mind.

I wrote this on 18 Baha'i 162 B.E. This is another attempt to explain hows depression makes me feel. The interesting thing about this poem is, that in 175 B.E., I cannot remember the decisions that threw me into a deep depression.
